China-made Scrubber Obtains International Order

 Recently, Weihai Puyi Marine Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. obtained scrubber order for 58000DWT bulk carrier from a ship owner (hereinafter called “the owner”) enjoys high international reputation.

As a world-leading ship owner and operator of modern Handysize and Supramax ships, their group executive and technical supervisor have visited Puyi twice and witnessed the reliability and advantage of Puyi scrubber by its continuous running demonstration based on real ship engine in unique land-base laboratory. The owner fully recognizes the scrubber’s cleaning result, system running stability and performance etc. and chooses Puyi as their supplier. This is an international order gotten by a China scrubber supplier once again. Currently, according to the contract between the two parties, Puyi has conducted manufacture systematically to make sure on-time delivery. 

R & D of the scrubber is done by Puyi cooperating with Dalian Maritime University. By 10 years’  development, land-base test, actual operation on board and improvement, Puyi scrubber develops operation modes as open loop, close loop and hybrid system and multiple whip exhaust gas cleaning solution as magnesium method, caustic soda method and sea water method, which provides owners with the most economic and reliable scrubber. 

With the incoming IMO global sulfur cap, most owners accept scrubber as the best and the most economic method to achieve compliance. Puyi has accumulated rich experiences of design and installation for container vessels, bulk carriers and many other ship types. At present, they have co-operated with many domestic ship repair yard to provide high-quality equipments, services and integrated solutions for both new-buildings and retrofits. 

Puyi land-base lab based on actual ship engine can demonstrate the operation process of scrubber. By this demonstration, owners can witness the cleaning result of Puyi scrubber to the exhaust gas emission by ship engine running on high sulfur fuel and get deep actual understanding to the scrubber.
